COVID 19 Frequently Asked Questions

 

What happens if a Victorian lockdown prevents our wedding or elopement from going ahead?

If your wedding or elopement is scheduled to occur in a period of legal lockdown in Victoria we will defer your event (and all monies paid) to a new date, subject to availability, at no additional expense to you.

What happens if my guest numbers exceed a cap imposed by the Victorian Government?

If your booked guest numbers exceed a cap imposed by Victorian Law at the time of your wedding or elopement we will defer your event (and all monies paid) to a new date, subject to availability, at no additional expense to you.

Can we postpone our wedding?

If we are legally able to hold your wedding or elopement on your contracted date and you choose to transfer to a new date for personal reasons (such as, but not limited to, guests unable to travel due to border restrictions) then a Re-booking Fee will be payable to secure a new date.

The Re-booking Fee will be the same amount as the original Booking Fee you made when you booked your wedding or elopement.

The Booking, and subsequent Re-booking, Fee is made to secure both your date in our calendar, along with the services of the vendors in your collective.

The Re-booking Fee will be the only additional charge, and you won’t be charged any annual increase to package costs.

When we rebook you to a future date, we lose the opportunity to book that date, meaning your wedding will effectively cost us twice the amount you are charged. Payment of the Re-booking Fee provides a small financial cushion to allow us to accomodate your wishes.

What happens if we cancel our contract?

If you choose to cancel your wedding, for any reason including but not limited to the impact of Covid 19, we will retain your non refundable Booking Fee, along with any Re-booking Fees paid (if applicable).

We will also retain, or charge, any payments we may have made to the vendors in your collective to service your wedding. Naturally, the closer the cancellation to your wedding date the more payments we are likely to have made. Each wedding or elopement will be assessed individually at the time of cancellation.

However, if the cancellation is confirmed within 30 days of the scheduled wedding or elopement date no refund will be payable.

Postponement options will be offered if the wedding or elopement cannot proceed due to Victorian lockdowns or Victorian legal restrictions that essentially prohibit us from providing you with the service you have contracted us to do at the time of your original booking.

This policy is in accordance with your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
